FOR CURIOUS EDITORS AND CREATORS

See a video you want to understand?

You know the feeling: a short clip catches your eye, but the cuts move too fast to study. Give it to ClipDex and get a storyboard showing every detected shot in order, with a still frame and a short video preview for each one. See how the sequence flows, revisit the moments that matter, and take a contact sheet or asset pack into your own edit.

Workspace access is private and invite only.

WHAT YOU CAN SEE

What made that clip work?

Was it the opening frame?

The rhythm of the cuts?

That one detail you missed on first watch?

ClipDex gives you a place to look closer. Upload a short reference or paste a supported video link. Once it is ready, scan the shots in sequence, hover for movement, open any preview, and download the storyboard to keep beside your project.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS

Wondering if it fits your workflow?

Here is what you need to know before you bring in a reference.

What does ClipDex actually give me?

A chronological storyboard of detected shots. Each shot has a still frame, a short playable preview, and timing information. You can browse it online or download a PDF contact sheet and ZIP asset pack.

What kind of video can I use?

Short reference videos work best, up to five minutes. Upload a video file, or paste a supported direct video link. Some sites, including YouTube, may block downloads, so uploading the file is more reliable.

Can I try it without an account?

Yes. Explore the live storyboard above without signing in. Creating your own storyboard uses the private workspace, which is available only to approved email addresses.

What happens to my original video?

ClipDex removes the uploaded source after successful processing. Your storyboard and its export files remain until you delete that storyboard.

Can it tell me why an edit works?

ClipDex helps you see the shots and their timing. Your creative judgment does the rest: compare frames, notice patterns, and decide what to borrow or change for your own work.
